SPONSOR AN ANIMALIf you have a favorite animal at the zoo, you can become its sponsor for a year! Your adoption goes toward the feed and vet care of that animal and each sponsor receives a certificate of adoption. Sponsors are recognized on the Wall of Honor in the Gift Shop and here on the website.

HOST A ZOO KEEPER!

Zoo staff enjoy presenting programs to area schools, clubs, and churches. Topics include (but are not limited to) animals and their care, the role of zoos, conservation practices, and career choices in the animal industry. Each program includes at least two of the zoo's ambassador animals and participants get the chance to get up-close and personal. Programs are offered seasonally.

Do AN INTERNSHIP!

Fort Chiswell Animal Park offers internship opportunities to both high school and college students. Interns gain valuable hands-on experience and participate in a variety of activities involving animal care and guest relations. Interns are often able to assist with the zoo's fallow deer management program as staff count and tag the fawns. There's rarely a dull moment! Space is limited.
